Welcome to Archbishop Hutton's
Here at Archbishop Hutton’s, our pupils have big ambitions and high expectations of themselves. They have a strong sense of their place in the world and in their local community. Our rich and exciting curriculum is driven by the children. It enables each child to develop academically, emotionally, creatively, socially and physically. Our question based learning opportunities enable the children to share ideas, express their opinions and apply knowledge and skills learned in a wide range of meaningful contexts.
At our school, all children are encouraged and challenged to be the very best they can be. We want our pupils to have fun at school and be active learners. Our children question, investigate and challenge themselves. They are able to do this because of our strong focus on appropriate support, independence, inquisitiveness and resilience.
Our Vision Satement
A tree is known by its fruit
In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us that a tree is known by its fruit. This is what we strive for as a school; the hard work we put into growing great young people and the way in which this bares fruit in their successes – both now and in the future.
By actively promoting children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development with a strong focus on Christian values, we fulfil our vision by:
- promoting the traditional values of respectful behaviour, responsibility and forgiveness, we prepare our children for life in a global, multi-faith society.
- supporting all children to become independent thinkers and confident learners, we encourage curiosity, ambition and individuality.
- providing focused, engaging and inclusive teaching we equip the children to lead their own learning in a supportive and challenging environment.
We welcome prospective parents and visitors to our school and would love the opportunity to show you round. Give us a call and make an appointment. See for yourself why our children are rightly proud of their achievements and we are proud of all of them.
