A note from the Headteacher, Mrs M Gaydon

Thank you for showing an interest in Archbishop Hutton’s Voluntary Controlled Primary School. We hope that you find our website as informative as possible and that it gives you a clear indication about our school’s organisation, ethos and curriculum.
If your child is the first one in the family to join us then we welcome you as new parents. We look forward to a happy and successful relationship as your child travels on their learning journey through our school for the next seven years. If you already have a child or children in the school then we look forward to continuing to nurture and support your family.

At Archbishop Hutton’s School we are committed to our Christian Foundation and want to enable children to make good choices in life based on our Christian values. At our school we value the love of God and respect one another. Our school is a safe, happy environment in which there is no discrimination and all people are treated equally. We provide the children with an excellent education within a caring environment. We are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum in which children receive excellent teaching and enjoy their education. We are committed to excellence and will endeavour to teach your child the basic skills of English, Mathematics, ICT and Science. These skills will enable your child to be a life-long learner. We are also very committed to ensuring that children reach their potential in all spheres of education.

We are very committed to working in partnership with parents and we welcome parental involvement in the life of the school and in the education of all children.

If you would like to come and visit our school, or if you have any further queries regarding your child’s education, then please do not hesitate to contact me.

You will be made to feel very welcome when you visit our school.
