Opening schools to more children from June 1st 2020

Date: 12th May 2020 @ 5:13pm

On Sunday the Prime Minister announced that schools may open from Monday 1st June for some groups of children.

Yesterday evening, the Department for Education published numerous documents providing further guidance for schools and parents.

Below is the link to a document called 'Opening schools and educational settings to more pupils from 1 June: guidance for parents and carers'. This document will answer many of your questions so it is important that you have the opportunity to read it.

Teachers held a virtual meeting yesterday to discuss the guidance schools have been given and to start putting together an initial plan.

Governors are keen to understand parents' willingness to send their children back to school and intend to gather parent views through a survey. This will be sent home either today or tomorrow via the school website.

We will update you when there is further information to share.
