SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD'S WELL-BEING DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE 2019 - 2020
This is a collection of websites and resources to support parents with their child's well-being during these uncertain times. The websites also provide support for parents.
Read 'Coronavirus - A book for children' written by Elizabeth Jenner, Kate Wilson and Nia Roberts. It has been illustrated by Axel Scheffler (of Gruffalo fame!). It has been written in a very straightforward and accessible way.
Sit down with your child and watch 'Time to Come In Bear' - a children's story about social distancing
On this website you can find both advice for young people as well as for their parents & carers.
On Place2Be's website, click on Our Services, then Coronavirus Update - here you will find resources about how to talk to your children about the coronavirus with resources both for you and your child. These include three stories saved on this page.
On Young Minds website you can find support for talking with children and young people. This includes 'How to support your child if they are worried about the coronavirus' saved on this page.
Have a go at Mrs. Rigby's Keep Calm and Relax session. These will be changed weekly.
